Opie is part of the Study Buddies program for schools and libraries. Opie was adopted from the Allegany County Animal Shelter at three months of age. He is currently nine years old. Opie will be at the LaVale Library every other Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Reading to Opie will help improve a child’s reading skills.
