The Launch Series at Washington Street

Event Type: Teen/Tween Program
Age Group(s): Tweens and Teens
Date: 4/24/2017
Start Time: 5:00 PM
End Time: 6:00 PM
Welcome to the Allegany County Library System's "Launch Series": 12 weeks of quality STEM programming (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) intended for learners 8 years and older. Registration is required.

Tonight's program: Become an Amateur Archeologist!

Seth Meyers from the National Park Service will bring fossils discovered at the C&O Canal Park and explain what those fossils tell us about animals and plants that lived here millions of years ago. Students will then make their own fossil and share it's story with the group!

All Launch Series events are free and open to the public. Because computers and supplies are limited, there is a limit of 25 participants per event. To register, complete the registration section below. Be sure to click the "Complete Registration" button. Note: In the case that registration exceeds the 25 participant per event limit, children who have not attended a LAUNCH program in the past will be given first opportunity to attend LAUNCH at the Washington Street Library.

If you register, then find you cannot attend, please phone Joni Reed at 301-777-1200 and let her know so we can make that space available for someone else!
